Air preparation unit
An air preparation unit combines selected compressed-air treatment functions for a machine or distribution branch. Filtration and pressure regulation may be combined with other specified modules; lubrication is not present or appropriate in every system. Required air quality, flow and pressure loss determine the configuration.

Variants and compatibility
Filter-regulator units and multi-module assemblies differ in included treatment stages. Specify filtration performance, condensate draining, pressure indication and mounting. Do not add an oil lubricator to an oil-free process without approval, or assume a general unit supplies breathing air.
Documentation and delivery
A dimensional match alone is not a replacement approval. Verify load, duty cycle, material, medium and installation against the machine documentation. Request traceable part identification and the relevant technical drawing. Pressure-rated or safety-critical installations require their own suitability review.
