Wax dispersion
A wax dispersion contains wax particles distributed in a liquid carrier for incorporation into compatible coatings, inks or surface formulations. Carrier type, particle distribution and wax content must match the process. This page concerns the dispersed supply form, not a specific polyethylene, paraffin or other wax chemistry.

Variants and compatibility
Aqueous and non-aqueous carriers impose different compatibility, safety and storage requirements. Compare wax chemistry and particle distribution as well as solids content. A dispersion cannot be substituted for an emulsion or dry wax on an equal supplied-mass basis without formulation review.
Documentation and delivery
Request the current safety data sheet, technical data sheet and agreed quality specification for the supplied formulation. Confirm composition, carrier, storage conditions and shelf life. Transport classification must be checked for the actual grade, packaging, quantity and destination; the generic product name is not a transport clearance.
