Product Guide
Photometer
A laboratory photometer measures an optical signal for a defined analytical method, often at selected wavelengths. Water analysis and routine process testing require a suitable method, reagents and measurement cell. The family name does not imply a scanning UV-Vis spectrophotometer or compatibility with every reagent test.
Practical purchasing guidance for universities, research laboratories, industry and institutional buyers.
Applications and workflows
Typical workflows help you define the application and compare suitable product configurations.
- Method-defined photometric water testing
- Process monitoring and documented quality testing
Technical selection criteria
Include these parameters in your inquiry to align laboratory users, technical teams and purchasing.
- Analyte, wavelength, reagent method and optical path length
- Measurement range, resolution and specified uncertainty
- Exact instrument or consumable-system compatibility
- Required validation, calibration and service support
Variants and compatibility
Filter-based, multiwavelength and other photometer configurations have different capabilities. Specify the analyte, method range, cell format, reagent requirements and calibration. Do not infer wavelength coverage or analytical equivalence from the device name.
Documentation and delivery
Identify the complete model and required accessories. Review operating voltage, installation conditions, calibration needs, service, warranty and any applicable conformity documents. A laboratory device is not automatically suitable for clinical diagnosis or a hazardous atmosphere.
Confirm the required documents, packaging and delivery conditions for the selected item and destination.
