Product Guide
Force sensor
A force sensor converts an applied mechanical force into an electrical signal for test, assembly or machine-monitoring systems. Tension, compression and multi-axis duties require different load paths and mounting. A load cell is one related implementation; a generic force sensor is not automatically a complete weighing system.
Practical purchasing guidance for universities, research laboratories, industry and institutional buyers.
Applications and workflows
Typical workflows help you define the application and compare suitable product configurations.
- Force measurement in assembly, material testing and machine monitoring
- Industrial automation, positioning and handling
- Industrial sensing, monitoring and machine feedback
Technical selection criteria
Include these parameters in your inquiry to align laboratory users, technical teams and purchasing.
- Tension/compression direction, load path and overload limits
- Measurement range, resolution and specified uncertainty
- Output signal, supply, protocol and response time
- Required validation, calibration and service support
Variants and compatibility
Static and dynamic measurement, load direction, overload limits and signal conditioning must match the task. Compare rated force with mounting geometry and calibration conditions. A force rating alone does not qualify a sensor as a weighing instrument or a safety function.
Documentation and delivery
Use the exact part number and revision where available. Compare electrical limits, mechanical interfaces and environmental conditions against the datasheet. Request RoHS/REACH information and applicable conformity evidence; safety-critical use or export eligibility requires separate verification.
Confirm the required documents, packaging and delivery conditions for the selected item and destination.
